I just started the flex plan. Great food so far and covenient for work. You still have to provide about 70% of your own food (fruit, vegies, dairy, etc.) to complement their food (on the non-flex days). But that's easy as they give you a guide for what you can have. Plus dining out guide and recipe book have great ideas - I can't wait to try.

It frustrates me when people are not willing to make sacrifices to achieve a goal they want! Stop looking for excuses not to do something and look for excuses to DO it. The more you try to find the perfect diet, the more time is wasting. The faster you say "hmm, maybe this food isn't awesome and maybe there are better diets out there, but I am going to do this to get started."

Maybe the crappy food is your punishment for overeating fatty foods all those years. Take the good with the bad and go for it!

I lost over 35 lbs on nutrisystem and i really didnt HAVE 35 lbs to lose. I started it after I had my 3rd child at 29 and in all honesty, I would live on it, If I could afford buying it outright every month. My friend ordered the food after seeing my success and HATED the food SO much she sent it back right away, so it definitely varies depending on your taste, you have to GET TO KNOW the food and trust other peoples advice on whats good and whats not. I love the food, I think its definitely NOT bland in any way. The whole program is magnificent. Great food, perfect proportions, its definitely an adjustment, but once you start eating it, youre not craving anything else, you dont think about eating until its actually TIME for your next meal. Its definitely worth one month of investment to see if its do-able for your lifestyle. Im on the Flex plan now, and its great. EXERCISE is still the KEY to any diet and healthy lifestyle.
Hope this helps.

I had the same fear about the food, but I am now enjoying many of the NutriSystem foods. My favorite breakfasts are the Cranberry Orange Pastry and the Cinnamon Bun Bar. I really like the Beans and Ham soup and the Pasta with Beef for lunch. Mashed Potatoes with Meatloaf and Rotini with Meatballs are probably my favorite dinners. And that does not include the frozen foods!

There are some dishes I prefer not to have, and there are some dishes that I enhance with some of approved sauces/seasonings. For example, I like the Tender Beef and Vegetables with a little bit of taco sauce.

There was a little bit of an adjustment period for preparing my six daily meals, but I have worked out a pretty good system now. It's much easier for me to get everything together for the day, and most of the foods are ready in a couple minutes.

I am really glad I decided to do the NutriSystem plan. It's helped me lose over 90 pounds, and I am confident it will take me to my goal. I exercise quite a bit now, but it was not a big part of the plan at the beginning. The Mindset Makeover plan eased me into it.

A friend told me that the nutri system food is awful. She said it was like eating your lunch out of a dixie cup - and very very bland.
I am interested in hearing from others who are eating nutrisystem food. Is it good? Is it easy to take to work and eat there? Is it boring and awful, like myf riend says?
I need to lose 30 pounds by mid July and I'm not big on exercise.
